Maybe you guys need a little "time out" to work it all out. It's all a little "Lord of the Flies" for my liking.

Who's the chubby one with the glasses?

~ Star Wars was on for over 10 hours, most the time being played by just you

Rubish. DKnight can tell you I forced him to play it most of the time.

~ Marvel vs Capcom got a brief showing, probably about five "fights", then went off, as I saw that no-one apart from me was interested in playing it, and I thought it would be unfair if both main TVs were being taken up by one person playing a game no-one else wanted to play.

Would that be when you then stuck Sonic on (And played by yourself)?

- I arrived at 1amish. After the 7 hour yawnfest that was watching you earn Darth Maul

Watching were you? You know you can also speak at gamesnights aswell, you know.

- 3 hour yawnfest (literally, I fell asleep at this point, which isn't common for me at games nights

And Seraph must be a yawnfest also, seeing as you were fast asleep when he wanted to show you something in some game he was playing (by himself I might add).

- I've been around while you're playing Powerstone, and to be perfectly honest, joining you at a game where you have a clear advantage over others isn't an inviting concept.

'Advantage' hey? Well if you had asked to be allied with like another newbie or something, we could of done that... But nooooo, slam your pad down and walk away.

- With Star Wars Demolition you have at your control what is easily the most over-powered character in the game? No thanks.

That was like 6am or something when I was playing with him, and yes, I was beating the hell out of the AI players, finding out how cheap he really was. For god sake, I wouldn't have used him on a friggin' newbie.
Hell, starting off I wouldn't have anything against you even using him and me using a crapy fighter. (As that would show my skill if I won. Just like Powerstone2, I pick non-cheap players in that also, eg Mel)

- I once tried to learn how to play Powerstone. After 2 rounds of you beating the crap out of me (and everyone else in the field)

I always go after Power stone 2 vets (eg NukleuZ) first off.

- noone bothering to explain how the freaking game works, I was ready to try something else.

How about asking? I've ask in the past if anyone wanted to play a two player arcade co-op. DKnight has taken me up on this, and I'm sure he found out more about playing it that way, then the so called me 'beating the crap out' of people, 4 player mode.

- I have not once seen you play in a manner befitting a console PARTY. People go there to play together and have fun. This may come as a shock to you, but your taunting of new players doesn't encourage togetherness or fun.

Taunting of new players? I don't ever remember taunting new players like Sith etc. I mainly only taunt Grey.

- Softcore? I doubt it. But at least I know I'm not a whinging coward like yourself.

What? That doesn't make any sense. I'm whinging? If you're talking about the 'Softcore' jab, that's all it is, a jab.... And if you're too scared to lower yourself to ask for some training in a game (that I'm being so awful in), then you're the 'coward'.

- You laugh at me for playing DDR? I gave a new game a shot and found something fun.

No, I laugh at Seraph, as he won't 'give a new game a shot' apart from that game.
I don't laugh at you, I had thought quite highly of you (before) for playing new games like Toy Commander. And I enjoyed being called a 'Camping Whore' a few GNs back. (Not joking, that was quite a funny 'Taunt')

- You mock others for playing MvC or other one-on-one fighters? We play games other than Powerstone or Techromancer.

Err, I think you'll find Techromancer is a one-on-one fighter.
And I mock people who play MvC after they mock me for playing Techromancer, Power Stone 2 and now Star Wars Demolition.
Don't mock my fave games and I won't mock yours..... Seraph you lisening?

- Hell, we share the controller around. I've lost count of the number of times you've planted your ass in a seat and camped with the one controller for hours on end.

Um, it's my controller, with my VMUs in it. I think I've got a right to my own pad.

- You wanna bitch about the lack of people showing up? Try making some effort to encourage their repeat attendance.

Who says I don't???
Please, I'd love you to come to any gamesnights ahead.
Although I'd rather eat my left arm before I encourage Seraph to.

* Well....I must say that I am not 'HARD'core. I wouldn't even want to be. I like going to the games nights and seeing the new games that people have.

And there's nothing wrong with that.

* As for HN busting arse on powerstone. I'm afraid I have to agree. I hadn't played before and went in there and got my arse kicked with very little info on what the hell was happening. I must say I would be reluctant to play again.

Well you can team up with 'EBE' next time. If you're a crap player, I have nothing against you teaming up against me.
JUST FRIGGIN ASK!!!!! Geeeesus...

# GreyWizzard shuffles around his feet and sighs a bit
Um... A few months back I suggested we have a day or something that does not involve video games. I got a few responses saying this was a good idea. Obviously from the tension that has been building between people it shows that we kinda need to go back to basics.

A barbie at your place with the stinky dog jumping on people, oh sure...
Well Grey, that'll only work if I turn up at 9am and then go at 12pm and Seraph from 12pm on. As a stinky dog is one thing, but a sarcastic kill joy would really put me off eating.

# I think we need to have another get together, away from the consoles. Just so we can all sit and chat and do stupid things.

Hmmmm.... Can murder be classed as a stupid thing?

# I have tried to be the best host that I can be. I know that some nights I have been totally crap... I try.

For once, I don't think this is your fault.
It seems people need a pratice session before playing a game. (Or they'll get pooey )
Thinking out aloud - an Power Stone 2 eg would be two TVs/DCs with it playing - four newbie players playing it, while I tutor a 5th player by playing co-op arcade mode.
That may sound over the top (or big egoish), but that seems like what people are asking (Not just for power stone 2, but for each game).

# Basically... what I am saying is... I don't want these nights to end.

Same here, but the last one only had a few people enjoying themselves. Which I think (and hope) were mostly the fairly new people. But as a GN vet, I could smell the poision in the air coming from some of the longer time people who had issues. It showed it's self through sarcastic remarks, that I tried to ignore or pretended to laugh at.

# I want to settle differences people are having...

Yeah but I don't think having us all over for a arvo tea or something will fix it straight away. Nor will people jump at the chance.
Maybe some people just need..
*puts on a yank 'mom' voice*
.. "a time out".

# especially between myself and a few others.

I'm not one am I? Everyone's been doing such a great job hiding their differences behind sarcastic remarks. But as I haven't heard a sarcastic remark from you in a while, you must be over the little 'unaustralian' difference we had a while back.

Ok well, I think typing out a huge post helps, as I've just found out. For I'm not hardly as peeved off (after reading a certain posters post (name starting with 'S')) as I was when I started this post. I could even not post this, but I think it's better for all of us that I do.

And there we have a Hardcore rant from the Hardcore man himself, And what a marvelous rant it was!

OK to be honest I did enjoy SW Demo at first but after a while I got a bit bored and wanted to play what was going on around me. At the time I had recently went hardcore through V8, and I realised I was playing the same game (I knew from the start) only everything seemed heaps slower.

Not too mention I didn't like the controls and had no gameplay experiance to rebind them, I have a plan now. The main reason I played was I thought if you unlocked it all you might turn it off for awhile.

Also I did find it a little Ironic being told not to use Falcon in Powerstone 2 as he's cheap, yet you have your VMU only item's all over the place nobody else can use. You did clock it so you deserve a reward but maybe you could turn them off for a few matches, I know I never said anything but I didn't know it could be done until last Games Night. And I agree playing Co-Op arcade teaches you heaps.

And you did sugget Dynamite Cop, but I wiped it out the first night I rented it and it's not much fun IMO.

And I really am a little sick of Deathmatch style games, why can't we play a few more team games other than Doubles in Virtua Tennis. Maybe to help the Newbies in Powerstone 2, we have 1 Pro and Newbie on a team, so when they die they can be revived.

~~ Star Wars was on for over 10 hours, most the time being played by just you

> Rubish. DKnight can tell you I forced him to play it most of the time.

Well by the 6th hour straight of that game, I was trying to pay it as little mind as possible.

~~ Marvel vs Capcom got a brief showing, probably about five "fights", then went off, as I saw that no-one apart from me was interested in playing it, and I thought it would be unfair if both main TVs were being taken up by one person playing a game no-one else wanted to play.

~ Would that be when you then stuck Sonic on (And played by yourself)?

Sorry, next time I'll force DKnight to control Tails while I'm playing.

(snip response to EBE's comments)

~ And I mock people who play MvC after they mock me for playing Techromancer, Power Stone 2 and now Star Wars Demolition.
Don't mock my fave games and I won't mock yours..... Seraph you lisening?

It's not the act of playing the game I was mocking you about, nor the others, as I think everyone knows they all three are high quality games. It's the manner they have been played in (that is, to death, with one person {you} playing for many hours while others try for a little while, then go "meh" and want to play something else. You wanna mock me for not playing new games, go ahead, but I don't think -you- should be criticising ppl for playing the same old games over and over.

~ Please, I'd love [EBE] to come to any gamesnights ahead.
Although I'd rather eat my left arm before I encourage Seraph to.

As long as you have your right hand so you can spend the rest of your time enjoying your other "hardcore" past-time.

~~ I think we need to have another get together, away from the consoles. Just so we can all sit and chat and do stupid things.

~ Hmmmm.... Can murder be classed as a stupid thing?

Absolutely. It's on the top ten, second only to your conception.

~ Ok well, I think typing out a huge post helps, as I've just found out. For I'm not hardly as peeved off (after reading a certain posters post (name starting with 'S')) as I was when I started this post. I could even not post this, but I think it's better for all of us that I do. ;)

See this, Sega Executive? You ****ed of HN so much that he had to have a whinge. Your prize is... nothing - we can't afford to give prizes to everyone that makes HN whinge. Sorry.

Rubish. DKnight can tell you I forced him to play it most of the time.

"Forced him to play it" If noone else plays voluntarily, maybe that should be the first hint?

I've been holding my own games nights a lot longer than I've been attending Grey's. Grey doesn't want to start anything by asking you to move... if it were my party, you'd be on your ass after the first 3 hours.
Ask any of my friends... it goes for all of them.

quote:

- I arrived at 1amish. After the 7 hour yawnfest that was watching you earn Darth Maul
Watching were you? You know you can also speak at gamesnights aswell, you know.

I was watching enough of it.
I can't think of a more boring game to watch. There's only so much 'smash weapons drone thingy' 'blow crap out of rancor' I can stand.

quote:

- 3 hour yawnfest (literally, I fell asleep at this point, which isn't common for me at games nights

And Seraph must be a yawnfest also, seeing as you were fast asleep when he wanted to show you something in some game he was playing (by himself I might add).

Oh, you are an idiot.
I was asleep before he tried to show me something... notice something important in that statement?

There was nothing happening when I fell asleep. While I find Puzzle Bobble entertaining, the little balls flying up the screen have a mildly hypnotic effect.

quote:

- I've been around while you're playing Powerstone, and to be perfectly honest, joining you at a game where you have a clear advantage over others isn't an inviting concept.

'Advantage' hey? Well if you had asked to be allied with like another newbie or something, we could of done that... But nooooo, slam your pad down and walk away.

Slam my pad down????

I do not slam, my dear lamer... I gave up, I vacated the seat for someone else who was willing to throw themselves at that particular brick wall...
But don't let the truth get in the way of your representation of the event

quote:

- With Star Wars Demolition you have at your control what is easily the most over-powered character in the game? No thanks.

Ohhhh... newbie huh? I can see who's still on the 'hardcore'(*giggle*) powertrip...

quote:

Hell, starting off I wouldn't have anything against you even using him and me using a crapy fighter. (As that would show my skill if I won. Just like Powerstone2, I pick non-cheap players in that also, eg Mel)

Wow... now you bring up skill?
Skill's never seemed to be that important to you.

I'm sure the audience agrees - revealing tips bit by bit, yet always reserving that one trick that you can lure the uninitiated into, is not a display of skill.

I've done it myself. Arcade L-ism Karin comes to mind. It was a one-off, cheap and completely bastardly trick. I did it once to one friend for a reaction (The scrub deserved it).

I've lost count of the number of times I've watched you sit there, with this completely gormless look on your face, waiting for someone to think they finally have you beat, only to have you hit them with something they never even knew existed.

You're a gloater... not a gamer.

quote:

- I once tried to learn how to play Powerstone. After 2 rounds of you beating the crap out of me (and everyone else in the field)

I always go after Power stone 2 vets (eg NukleuZ) first off.

Did I say you didn't?
The point here was *me*. *I* am the important factor here. Me who has never played the game before. I'm sure there's more than one person in this position.

Nice effort at dodging the issue there.

quote:

- noone bothering to explain how the freaking game works, I was ready to try something else.

How about asking? I've ask in the past if anyone wanted to play a two player arcade co-op. DKnight has taken me up on this, and I'm sure he found out more about playing it that way, then the so called me 'beating the crap out' of people, 4 player mode.

Well done, gimp. I've been waiting for you to bring that up.
I *did* ask. I asked for a manual. I asked Grey what the buttons were. He was drowned out by uproarious lafter(sic) from you as once again the cheese was laid down.

quote:

- I have not once seen you play in a manner befitting a console PARTY. People go there to play together and have fun. This may come as a shock to you, but your taunting of new players doesn't encourage togetherness or fun.

Taunting of new players? I don't ever remember taunting new players like Sith etc. I mainly only taunt Grey.

"mainly only"
Bollocks more like...

You taunt anyone and anything.
I'm not above a victory dance here and there... I showboat with the best of them...
I play in a party spirit...

Wanna guess which one you're missing? I'll give you 3 chances.

quote:

- Softcore?

We've dealt with that one, but I'll leave it there...

Any game I play, the first round goes to button mashing, the second goes to asking someone about the control system.

quote:

- You laugh at me for playing DDR? I gave a new game a shot and found something fun.

No, I laugh at Seraph, as he won't 'give a new game a shot' apart from that game.
I don't laugh at you, I had thought quite highly of you (before) for playing new games like Toy Commander. And I enjoyed being called a 'Camping Whore' a few GNs back. (Not joking, that was quite a funny 'Taunt')

Camping whore is a standard... I'm rarely at my most imaginative when I'm concentrating on a game.

Actually, Toy Commander is yet another wonderful example of your lack of interest in helping new players adapt to the game.

I asked repeatedly what the buttons were. Why Westyx was the one answering me I still don't know.

Meanwhile, you grabbed yourself the Jeep and drove around taking us out... and guess what? You were... TAUNTING!!!

Some crap about 'I own this floor!'
When you're ****ed off and trying to get the hang of a new game, the words don't matter that much.

quote:

- You mock others for playing MvC or other one-on-one fighters? We play games other than Powerstone or Techromancer.

Err, I think you'll find Techromancer is a one-on-one fighter.

Brilliant. Just brilliant.
And how many hours in the lab were spent on that response?

Hands up who didn't know Techromancer was a 1on1? Come on? Anyone?

We play for 'variety'... you stick to what you know.

...backwards... no hands... with the lights off...

quote:

And I mock people who play MvC after
they mock me for playing Techromancer, Power Stone 2 and now Star Wars Demolition.
Don't mock my fave games and I won't mock yours..... Seraph you lisening?

Seraph, unlike your high gaming worship, encourages others to join his game. He starts off new players on easy tasks to learn the game... then ups the difficulty with their skill.

I see Paul, Jon, Westyx (did Starchy have a go?), all repeatedly trying out DDR. We started them off on easy songs, and they got to know how the system works.

I see whatever group of people you have playing Powerstone and throwing themselves into it like lemmings, merely because it's the only thing on.

quote:

- Hell, we share the controller around. I've lost count of the number of times you've planted your ass in a seat and camped with the one controller for hours on end.

Um, it's my controller, with my VMUs in it. I think I've got a right to my own pad.

Damn, it would be a boring night of Grey played it that way...

You really have no clue, do you?

quote:

- You wanna bitch about the lack of people showing up? Try making some effort to encourage their repeat attendance.

Who says I don't???

Have you been reading this post? Me, you twit. And believe me, I'm not alone.

Others want to avoid a conflict... I really don't care what you think of me.

quote:

Please, I'd love you to come to any gamesnights ahead.

So gracious of you to invite me into your home...

quote:

Although I'd rather eat my left arm before I encourage Seraph to.

I'm sure he's crushed.
When it's *your* party, at *your* place, maybe we can start caring?

quote:

* Well....I must say that I am not 'HARD'core. I wouldn't even want to be. I like going to the games nights and seeing the new games that people have.

And there's nothing wrong with that.

This would be the whole point of games nights, IMO.

The old favourites are guaranteed to make it back at my parties... my friends are into NFL Blitz 2000... organising a 8-person tournament has worked for us in the past.
The Royal Rumble of Wrestlemania 2000 always gets a go, with players swapping the controller when they're eliminated.
Puzzle Bobble is a good challenge game... again swapping controllers after the match-up has been decided.

Here's where you point out that 'you're so hardcore, noone would be able to win your controller, so what's the point?'

But the real challange in the night comes from trying out new things... new games... old games you haven't seen before... *THAT'S* the strength of a Console Party.

quote:

* As for HN busting arse on powerstone. I'm afraid I have to agree. I hadn't played before and went in there and got my arse kicked with very little info on what the hell was happening. I must say I would be reluctant to play again.

You live and learn... you manage and move on...

Having a complete freak sit there and dominate the night makes it harder.

That may sound over the top (or big egoish), but that seems like what people are asking (Not just for power stone 2, but for each game).

This is honestly one of the worst ideas I've ever heard.

You have extra TVs for *diversity*. Powerstone isn't everyone's idea of heaven. DDR isn't everyone's idea of heaven. Wrestlemania isn't everyone's idea of heaven.
Giving people a choice helps curb the boredom.

That works so well with the crowd to... pointing out the flaws in others then making brilliant displays of the same behaviour.

I've hosted some fairly large console parties in the last 2 years. You're the first person I've ever seriously not wanted at an event.

When we're at Grey's, you're invited, you have as much right to be there as anyone.
You won't be invited to any of mine in a fit, unlike a lot of others I've met through Grey.

Post some more if you want. From the posts of yours I've read thus far, I can only assume you enjoy having people snigger at you behind your back...

Ah-ha! Here's your very own... HN Doll!
Just press the buttons on his back and this high-quality inaction figure will talk! Featuring such wacky phrases as:

"Go the Poo! Poo is the man!"
"Let's finish Dynamite Cop for the 73rd time!"
"WHINGE!"
"Who's up for Powerstone?"
"Let's play Techromancer!"

(the buttons for those last two are a little worn...)

Yes, kids, your favourite hero is now yours to keep at home!

Well... I guess this is it. The games nights are over. If you want to keep posting into this place and insult each other be my guest. I might archive this at a later date to keep a copy of it.

I had fun while it lasted.

Anyone wanna play a few video games... give me a call.

I had fun while it lasted.

Well, I can't say I'm proud of this result. It's your party, and your decision, but I know in spite of the problem, people still leave the night having had some fun.

I started with the post I made because I'd been sent here by someone else, and having read a little of HN blaming everyone else for what was going wrong, I thought perhaps he needed to hear the rest of the truth.

The growing number of people leaving an event with the first question on their mind being "What was his problem?" made me a little unhappy. I thought at first it was just me, with even Seraph telling me I was over-reacting after my first appearance... but two games nights later and I've already seen enough.

Was I over the top? Probably... I won't concede that it was any worse than anything HN's posted before my appearance.

Some people need to be slapped. I take this as my slapping.

Well I'm a little shocked and puzzled at this moment. I didn't know things were so serious. This could of been talked about sooner and cleared up, but some people's feelings seem to be running deep ATM.

And all for the thing of not demoing a game before hand.

*sigh* Don't tell me I'll have to buy Granadia 2 now for the 2nd disc...

Anyway, here's a quote we once laughed about:

I admit I've missed a few but that one seemed to go down badly. I blame nobody as it's not constructive and it was several factors.

But surely it can be salvaged?

Selfish about me Stuff

If you always go for veteran's first, and if newbies are allowed to use cheap characters how come the other GN I was told if I pick Falcon I'll always die first because he is cheap?

I really hate being Tails in Sonic Adventure, make me Tails in Sonic 2, 3, and Knuckles and I'll be damn happy.

Salvage attempt stuff

Maybe we should make a point to rotate games after a certain period of time, like every two hours (let the currant round finish) and if people want to play on well it get's another session.

Maybe we should ignore who got us last (petty revenge) and all gang up on the one winning the most (3 Man fight rule #1 destroy the strongest opponent).

Maybe we should try to organise a tournament style atmosphere on the games like divide everyone randomly into teams but try and balance the teams so we don't get two newbies or two experts, than play through the games. I think Toy Commander might be more fun in capture the flag if you had someone to guard yours. Backup in Powerstone 2, Tag team's in wrestling, Doubles in Virtua Tennis.

Or Maybe we shoul make teams of 4 and try to out fly each other in Aerowings (It's more fun than it seems).

Although these ideas are based on the fact I'm sick of Deathmatch style games. Although Sonic (Loadtimes) Shuffle is still fun (to me) if slow as one legged dog.

Wow i can really feel the love in this thread these days it seems a shame to end games nights because of petty issues. Then again i suppose gaming is a competitive activity which takes competitive personalities there is bound to be clashes. I don't think anyone can rightly blame Grey for a "crap" night - he busts his butt organising and setting these things up not to mention opening his home and equipment up to everyone attending. No if there is any blame it falls on everyone in attendance for not making an effort to put aside differences and just have fun. HA but who am I to talk I don't even attend these things and consequently am speaking out of my butt

PU was right.

I never was blaming you.

Things happened, people got on each others nerves, there was no communicating. it was left to me to meet all new people. No one knew each other as all we ever did was just play games. I tried to start a get together away from the games so we could all talk to get to know each other and stuff. Yes, I did get a few responses, but not enough I guess.

No one is really to blame... crap happens.

All I can say is, it was good while it lasted.

Who knows... maye somewhere down the track, when I could be arsed, there may be another games night...

Was it? I think you will find it was you who said you will not let anyone into your house unless you have met them. You brought that on yourself.

Well gee.. I found out quite a bit about everyone really.. Maybe you were not paying attention.

you make out it is some big effort for you. I guess it is if you have next to no motivational efforts.
You managed to get a friend of yours to put in a good word for you here... so we can assume you made the effort there.

Just bear in mind I brought a TV, saturn, DC and at times my entire PC... plus countless other things.
Dont make out you did everything for the games nights. Shifting a TV and a console from one room to another isnt that big of a deal in comparison to what I did to help.

*Heavy Nova shuffles around his feet and sighs a bit*

Well I think me and DKnight can make up, as we seem to be the only ones that want to salvaged something.

Ok, fair point, but I was (maybe unfairly) thinking of you as not a newbie.
So how we rate our selves may not be how others rate us. So that's another reason to talk before playing.
And about Falcon, seeing as you asked: it's just that I've always hated Falcon from one bad (And cheap) thing that happend to me once while playing the AI: I was at total full health and fell off the alien lift just as a AI Falcon used his super missle move. Every missle hit me and I went from 100% health to nothing (no other fighter can take 100% health in one go). From that day on, I've always hated his guts. So there you go, that's why, and I told you because you question why. Which is very grown up of you unlike the others that would bagged me out instead of asking if I had a good reason.

BTW Grey, I find your defeatist attitude uninspiring.

Like that Rift move on the Pod Racer in Star Wars Demolition?

Remember I went for the kill you where close and got killed too. I noticed the sam bug in V8 the Rift can occaisonally kill 100% health in a single hit.

I wish you had of told me that on Games Night, I would not have used him on that one stage, not to mention I don't have the timing.

I'll put everything behind me pretty quickly after a good night's (days' usually) sleep I ignore what ever went wrong and focus on the good stuff. I am bringing it up as a point not a jab. I did have fun playing Powerstone 2 and Star Wars Demolition but I can't play it for more than a few hours straight.

Put on my favourite Multiplayer games like Tony 2, Virtua Tennis and I won't play them all night. Although should I play an engaging RPG I'l be like "What it's morning?" But I think Single Player games are a little out of place, at Games Nights, although racing against the clock in Sonic Adventure might be fun for awhile.

I'd host at my place but my place is too small and I don't have that many chairs.

Seems there wasn't enough comunication involved judging from whats been said so far! I mean, I wasn't there of course, thats only my impression I got from what I have read.

Common guys, kiss and make up Remember, comunication is the key! Make sure you all get a chance at playing the games you want to play, make a timetable as a group or something based on what games you will play and when. No controller hogging, stuff like that! a good rotation system works a charm, one fight each or somthing like that.

Tournaments are fantastic. Build a roster and choose a game you all want to play, preferably a new one that most of you won't have played much of so its fairly even.

DRINKING GAMES!!!! you gotta try the Mario Party drinking game, its da bomb!

Anyways, good luck to you all. I hope it all gets worked out and you keep on having these nights, I'm sure they are fun. good luck!

Heh, very good idea, DKnight. That game will send anyone to drink any day.

But for the moment, if there's going to be any more gamesnights, they're not going to be Grey's. As he really doesn't sound like he's going to change his mind any time soon.
Although I have spoken to a second party that seems interested in starting a rebel gamesnight. But it's all hush hush at the moment.

Grey, if you're not going to have gamesnights anymore... How about some gamesafternoonteas then? with just two or three people?
How about you invite me and DKnight over for arvo tea sometime soon, hey? Heh, DKnight could even bring some anime.
And maybe you could *cough* help me out with my PSO prob?

Not really all my old tapes have been way damaged.

And I only have Pokémon (Don't ask) and Sakura Wars on DVD.

I do have one in DivX on CD but it's one episode of a 26 part series which was taken up for distribution in America and the policy of the site was not to distribute fansubs of series that can be bought.

Okay... I have been slow to respond, but now I am in a responsive mood

There will be more games nights. I love em too much to just throw away because of a small minor indescrepencies (sp??) between people.

They may be a few months down the track though. I think a little time off for everyone is a good thing.

But like I always say, if any one wants to get together for a few games, or even just a few of us get together to do something, give me a call. My door is always open

Sounds to me that you didn't have the right food

Stacks of pizza (cheese), bottles of coke and games games games

Though if you did have that, well don't mind me

C'mon guys, I agree, kiss and make up. It's a shame to see this whole games night fall apart because of a few little bickerings at each other.

I figured after all this time, I'd post in this thread.

Youse should fly me and Cary down to one of your games nights. We'd take you boys on at anything.

And probably lose. Well except me at SF, and Cary at Soul Calibur.

But still.

Hows it going Grey? (and other peoples)

I was going to say sorry I missed the last games night and didn't ring you, but after reading about it I am not so sure.
Anyways I am sorry I did not ring, but my PC just wouldn't go, the hard drive was rooted, and your ph. no. along with it.

Well I must say is a little disappointing to hear the night does not go on in total harmony. You can still count me in if you have another Grey.(I'll turn up this time promise.)
You know I have a few people round mine sometimes to duke it out on the DC, if you're ever keen you can give me an e-mail. We usually find it that little bit more entertaining when we have a couple beers also. Being car buffs there is a little more going on than just the DC. So if you're keen give us an e-mail.

Nice one, nicewun. Anyway, it's was pretty bad, but not as bad on the night as it sounds now really IMO. Sort of the after shock was bigger then the quake.

Well anyway if Grey has another go and if you're one to talk openly in person (which is one that doesn't wait until he's gone home and gotten on the net etc), then you'd be perfect for a gamesnight.

If i was you.. I wouldnt comment on things you don't know about. You werent there so you dont know what happened.
HN is right.. the aftershock was bigger than the quake and this whole fighting is really very petty.
