27/11/02 Updates today: Well, it's been a quite a while since the last update. I've been quite busy with other things lately, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to add some sales=quality JSR OWN4G3 to the Pool Room. Check out the PlayNOW! Top Shelf and the Gamenation section on the Other Forums page (Note: some of you Gamenation guys should really go and see a doctor about your bowel problems.) If anyone has the IRC log where JSR brags about having sex 8 hours ago, feel free to post a link in the PlayNOW! Pool Room. I also found an old zarevz related gem or two.

14/6/02 Updates today: The major piece of news today is that The Pool Room has entered into a major cross promotion deal with James Forrest and Paco Vega's Site

I think we can safely say that this site is ahead of segadylan's You Arcade in the race for most Pool Room worthy gaming related site on the web.

We also have new special items on the Other Forums page -> dc_ecstacy gets his own page and Msyama's World'O'Meat gets up****d. Bubble Boys Inc. makes an appearance on the Other Forums page, and new threads have been added to the Playnow Top Shelf. A Lambchopper for PC users is on the way (once PLA uploads it!). Finally, #poolroom is now operational on IRC. - PU

20/5/02 Updates today: An anonymous message from a reader - PU 

I am a long time reader first time contributor to the Pool Room. I
would like to inform you of some interesting little rumours that
presented themselves to me of late....

1. Vzzzbx was seen first in line at the recent midnight screenings of
Star Wars, clad in a tight white outfit similar to the one worn by
Natalie Portman. When asked how he knew to be there so early in order
to be first in line, he replied "I have a nose for these things"

2. lestat is rumoured to have pre-ordered three, that's right, three
Indigo Nintendo Gamecubes from EB Miranda, to ensure that he would
have at least one available for him at launch. He was seen this
morning walking out of said EB with his beloved console under one arm,
and a copy of Luigi's Mansion under the other. He was heard to be
mumbling something about '3D doorknobs'

3. the boX is Dexxta. Fact!

4. Take the tip - DJ Fusion will soon be given mod status at Game
Nation after he reportedly bribed Steve "I have been skooled and my TV
is a piece of shit" O'Leary with a copy of Amped on Xbox.

5. New Zealand's favourite Sony whore lambchop was recently quoted by
classmates as saying "I found out that Xbox is being released here
around September! I've always wanted one, eh bro!"

6. Steve "I have been skooled and my TV is a piece of shit" O'Leary
does not own a surround sound system, yet likes to brag about being a
hardcore gamer who owns the latest gear.

Hello,

I am an avid Pool Room reader who you don't know, but I thought I
should pass this info on to you guys for your 'rumours' area of the
Pool Room.

Rumour 1 - Msyama was recently seen leaving a butcher with a large leg
shaped item under his arm.

Rumour 2 - Msyama was recently quoted on the #gamenation IRC channel
as saying he cannot wait for the release of Tekken 4, and has already
pre-paid for it at his local EB.

Rumour 3 - DJ Fusion DOES NOT, repeat DOES NOT own an Xbox!

Rumour 4 - Don Juan De'Marco is Dexxta. Fact!

I'd totally forgotten about these things until DJ mentioned it.
Anti-Ozisoft propoganda is always welcome in the Poolroom, I believe.

According to the time stamps of the files, they were all created in
one week in April 2000. I don't think you were around back then. The
forums that is, not the world in general.

DJ had an obsession at the time to post pics from doodie.com, so I
decided to give a couple of them an Australian slant. I posted them at
the sanctity of Playnow, and then DJ and Megaman used to post them at
the ODWF because they had so many accounts between them that it didn't
matter if they were banned (and by gosh golly darn-tooting they were
banned, several thousand times).

After Charlie/Wolverine's recent attempts to get into the Pool Room, I think the following sentiment posted by Timbo at PlayNOW! sums up how a lot of people feel... 

It pains me to see that still, after all this time, people just
don't seem to understand and appreciate the unexplainable and yet,
symbolic nature of the pool room.

They'd be happy to just cruise through life, just willy nilly calling
'pool room' at any given moment that they find something funny. I
shudder at the thought of what the pool room would be like today if
that were the case. ahem.

Prince Underpants - I'd also like to Welcome Poppa Large onto the Pool Room Team. Candy Arse tells me I AM TEH SUCK and so won't be joining us in the Pool Room afterall. We can look forward to much hilarity from Poppa I think. FACT!

To mark this special occassion the Pool Room would like to annouce that it will be hosting Vzzzbx's The Prophecies of Nostralambchop. 6/3/02 Updates today: I'd like to welcome Candy Arse to the Pool Room. He's going to be taking over the bulk of the updating. I'll still be stopping by from time to time.

You don't know me, but I came across your Pool Room site and noticed that
the reader question of the week is whether or not SegaDylan is Scope.

I can tell you that he is. I saw it as the topic heading on #playnow. "I am
Scope!", set by Jet Set Radio. And I just know he is because he denies it so
much, it must be true.

If you could possibly put this up on your site, it would be good as your
readers would be kept informed.

However I would like to remain your anonymous source in this.

15/2/02 Updates today: segadylan denies that he is Scope, although he did make some interesting revelations in an MSN chat session. Nathan is looking for a job, if you are an employer you might want to check out his resume. Finally, check out an interesting email exchange with a proprietor of a certain DVD forum. - PU

11/2/02 Updates today: Nathan makes an appearance in the Edge forum section. Bluetorch argues that MAME isn't an emulator, Powercaps goes crazy, Dad bought some new speakers, and PlayNOW hosts version 2 of Survivor.
