I visit here often and I'm quite dismayed at how rude and childish some of you are regarding your views on the type of systems/games other people like. We're all gamers, we all love games and I hate to break it to you all, but every system has great games available for it. The fact that we're all gamers should unite us in our love for gaming and not sink to the depths of denigrating others for their choice of a certain game or system. Putting down other peoples preferences sure as hell doesn't make yours any better and it doesn't make people want to listen to your opinion when you so surely slag off theirs. If you don't like a genre/game/system then that's fine but just don't put others down for the the ones they choose to like or no-one will give a flying f**k what you think. Just a thought...

Tony sure we have a common interest in gaming but that does not unite us all, for example look at sports, now most of the time fans fight over which team is better who wins blah blah. Same goes with anything else, pc's for instance have Amd, Intel, graphics nvidia,Ati. Consoles have your sony, nintendo, sega,M$ fans. All People have different views and preferences, now obviously people will question your preference.

Now if everyone just agreed with everyone’s views than this place would be boring beyond comprehension. Fact is people don't agree on what makes a great game, if they wish to express that then we shouldn't stop them. I just think you don’t understand why people post on these forums in the first place, especially in a forum that groups all these fans into one place.

Back to this "opinion" thing, why then lestat and DJ, are you guys are the first to rubbish a score with a review you don't agree with. Isn't that just an opinion too?

The level of fighting depends on how parochial the individual is. To further your sports example hardcore feral cheersquad types who live football every day spend a day at the game screaming, bellowing, jumping up and down, abusing umpires/referees, sledging opposition players and generally letting their emotions get the better of them. These people are a minority group. Most people in the stands are passionate about their sport and how their team plays, they're there after all, however they enjoy the overall spectacle and acknowledge good play from both sides.

Oh im sorry, this is a politically correct channel isn't it? Sorry, wrong forum.

see, even tonyx7x's misguided moral post has stired interest and caused a good discussion.

tonyx7x... in far away happy land there may be a place were everyone thinks the same, have sex the same way and can never express a non majority opinion... unfortunately for you and thankfully for us... PlayNow isnt like that.

We appreciate your effort in being a Game Console Mormon/J.W but we are quite happy with our chosen console religions. Please dont knock on my door again or I will release the hounds.

Hooray!! Peppermint Lounge got exactly what I meant with my post. I'm a gamer and an AFL follower. And just because you like a type of game/barrack for a certain team doesn't make you f****d in the head for disagreeing with me. Sure we have different opinions that should be aired but when you start to abuse someone for their views then that's going too far. At an AFL game the person next to me might barrack for the opposition and that migh drive me crazy but I still respect them for their SHARED PASSION for the game. Thanks Pep, for getting EXACTLY what I was saying! I expect people to have differing opinions, but if all we can do is be insulting, smug, offensive and nasty then, Lestat, this forum is already boring beyond comprehension.

Indeed, however, lestat did actually once say he didn't mind the ps2 and actually wrote a list of games he enjoyed. Yeah, it was as common as a black man frequeting a KKK meeting

I don't think that's the case here. Maybe you should visit the Hyperactive forums for a while. Most debates here tend to be technical and are focused on the game as compared to older, similar titles.

I think you've got the wrong idea about this place.

I love you too fubu. I don't think I was being patronising, more argumentative and insulting perhaps (um, like, you know, the whole point of the thread?? <- that is patronising by the way). By the way, it's not just politically correct to have a negative opinion about homophobia... I'm not going to bother explaining how your "context" doesn't justify your use of negative stereotypes about homosexuals.

You're all missing the point. tonyx7x's pissed about console slagging. He's not just talking about people criticising game scores or preferring one style of game to another, he's referring to the people here who align themselves to one or two consoles and absolutely trash everything to do with the competition.

I love Nintendo, right, the games suit me down to the ground and I happen to really like the GC controller. Fanboyism? Whatever. It's just a preference. I acknowledge that, but I also acknowledge that all the current systems are excellent and have lots to offer. All have top games and all have high quality, well built components. What I don't do is set my sights on, say, the Xbox and drill it into the ground all the time, out of some totally unfounded bias I developed for no apparent reason.

It would be fully segregated though X box boys (Lestat, DJ and Megaman and the AAP) the Cube crew (Miyamoto and Dexxta) and the ps2 tribe (Spammy) and then a few people mingling

boy, have you got sand in your vagina today! Well, obviously I didn't comment because your remark is more a statement of FACT! rather than a manifestation of negative stereotypes. It is FACTual to say that it is not a very common occurrence that a black man would go to a KKK meeting. However, saying that gay guys all bend over on Oxford St to invite anal intercourse is making a comment based on your stereotype about gay men.

Ive got sand in my vagina? Well, newsflash buddy, I don't have a vagina. And secondly, you're the one that got narcy first. Not me.

Get laid or something dude, just get off that cough syrup. It messes with your brain, read the packaging before you buy something in future.
