Gee it's taken long enough.

Doesn't it also run in single field mode? That is pathetic. PS2 hardware is a joke you wouldn't play on your worst enemy.

Good game though, ICO. I enjoyed it when it came out months ago.

I thought fullscreen PAL was a pretty standard feature in many PSX games... so I don't see what you're getting so excited about. You're still only getting 5/6 the framerate, 5/6 the pps... all the things you get excited over, lamby.

And wasn't this game released in the US ages ago? Is this year long delay going to be a standard feature for PAL PS2 games?

ehhh , duh THAT'S my point ... 'some' people round here would have you belive that only 1% of PAL titles are fullscreen, see the 60Hz thread for that gem.

ie NTSC mode = who cares.

Is this year long delay going to be a standard feature for PAL PS2 games?

i belive you are confusing that with the standard delay-time for xbox ports

If 50Hz is so much better than 60Hz, why does no NTSC console offer a 50Hz mode?

medium percentage are full screen, and a small percentage of them are full speed = 60hz mode needed = quality.

I'm glad ICO is getting a proper conversion, really looking forward to this one

Because Americans don't know any other country exists, and Japanese don't care. It's nothing to do with which is bettar.

Hello all. Nice forum here. I hope I can contribute with appropriate comments.

I have a PAL PS2 and I for one prefer the 50hz standard we have in Australia. The borders dont bother me and I actually feel like I'm playing the games in widescreen (just like watching a DVD) so for me it feels kinda cool. I think the americans are missing out on what is a superior gaming format. I bet if they experianced PAL quality they would want it as an option.

Well thats my opinion and I hope Sony keep pumping out the quality titles it has so far to the Australian market. I couldnt see myself playing anything else for a while.

That doesnt sound very nice at all. I hope you are wrong. You are the only guy who has sorta objected to my comments. I think I will be alright. I have just read some of your posts in other threads (please dont take this the wrong way) but it seems that not many people like you here, but thanks anyway for the warning.

lambchop you seem to forget it's not just the fullscreen aspect of 60hz that gamers want, it's full speed, and full framerate.

TTT for example is fullscreen (at least on my telly) but it's sloooow.
