My father just recieved a call from the Gianni Versace head office in New York and they want him to be one of the new executive's in the Public Relations department. The thing is me, my mother and father and older sister will all be moving to NYC with him. I'm kind of happy for I have always loved the energy of New York and this is good move for my father, for New York City is the fashion capital of the world. I may also be getting a job at Versace in the publicity department for the Haute Couture fashion collections but only as a junior but it still pays very, very well for somone my age. From there I will work my way up. I'm not really gonna miss much about this country other than my friends, I have always thought this country is a little boring for me and not metropolition enough. I think I will really fit into NYC with its upper east side mansions and penthouses, Maddison and Fifth ave boutiques such as Saks and Tiffany's and Henri Bendel, Greewich Village nightclubs, Central Park picnics and winter ice skating, The Soho Lofts and Art galleries, the trendy Midtown cafes and to be surrounded by people who dress well and look good as they do in Manhattan. Anyways, I will be leaving in about 2 months, for all the U.S Citizenship details are being done as I type this and my father is leaving Friday to talk to Donnatello Versace herself about the job and to also buy a penthouse, luckely Uptown with all the rest of those Manhattan Snobs. I think I'm kind of getting over consoles let it be gamecube,xbox, ps2 I really don't think that the people who I will be socialising with give a shit about it and I'm starting to think the same way also, I would rather go to a club or lounge on central park west than stay in the penthouse playing games all day in a place like NYC. Anyways I will be gone in about 2 months and you can all hold a party then but at least I will be moving to the wonderful world of fashion where cloths are never too expensive, where you will see Naomi Cambell throwing hot coffee on another models face and the experience to see models having catfights backstage at fashion shows, It shall be fun. till then I shall still post and enjoy my last days in Oz having console wars Hello New York and hello to the fashion world [This message has been edited by Dexxta (edited 19-02-2002).] IP: Logged
