No, because what other NFL games on Cube is Madden up against right now?Also the xbox.ign guys are hard markers. How can they score NFL2K2 at 8.3 when it plays just as well as the DC and PS2 versions, but has improved graphics? If anything xbox.ign needs to loosen up a little, they're being too harsh on Xbox games. Look at the reviews for Silent Hill 2 and Genma Onimusha. They're reviewing these games as improved ports, rather than stand-alone titles. I'm not sure I agree with that. Either way Madden on Cube and Xbox should have gotten at least 9.6 each. But with the Cube version lacking an important feature, it has to rank as an inferior version. That'd be like releasing Streetfighter on Cube but removing Ryu.

How is that being a fanboy, when I actually concluded in saying that it's the best choice for the average gamer right now? I'm copping criticism from both sides of the fence for that article; some saying that it's too pro-Sony and now you're saying that it's too anti-Sony. I stand by the fact that the PS2 is a decent purchase, as I stated in the article. You say that the PS2 has more A class games than the Xbox and GameCube combined. Of course it does; the Xbox and GameCube haven't even been released in Australia yet. I understand, Candy Arse, I'm just saying that to an IGN reader, they would think that the GameCube version is slightly better due to it's slightly higher score. ------------------

Im with Dexxta here. Its all about the games and quite frankly, xbox is not leading in that department.

Jeez, Xbox vs Gamecube...Personally the lineup of Xbox i would only consider buying 3 or 4 games at the moment, but they don't include JSRF or Panzer for Xbox do they... As for cube, I'm not sure whether I rather the lineup there either (the future lineup DEFINATELY, Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Resident Evil, Star Fox, Eternal Darkness.) but ATM if I had my choice of importing a Console again I would probably go with the Box because Halo is better than any of the cube games that I have (Luigi's Mansion, Wave Race, Super Monkey Ball, SSBM, Rogue Leader even though I haven't even played it, and then JSRF is coming out soon... Anyway this topic is stupid, as is Mech's topic about Smashing drive...

I do agree with Dexxta to some angle about the way this forum is full of Xbox fannies... it's perfectly okay to bag out the Gamecube because of a crap game, but as soon as the Xbox gets hit it's like the end of the world!

IMO munch's oddyssey is an awsome title, whoever scored it low just mustn't be into this style of game because you either love it or hate it.
from what i've seen it's a classic.
if it was a GC title it'd be on the AAA list for mine, just like it's on my XBOX AAA list.

Do you mean quantity or quality? Because the Xbox has more games to start with, and more higher rated games as well. Infact if you are an IGN reader, you'd see that the Xbox has more higher rated games than the Gamecube has games period. That's not a slight at all on Nintendo, just their release policy.

There is only 2 AAA titles on Xbox ATM but there is at Least 5 on Gamecube. Nuff Said. It doesn't matter who has the most games it's the quality which is important.

Care to tell us what these alleged 5 AAA titles are Link, cause I sure as hell can't see any. Good titles, yes. Great titles - yes again. But AAA titles - no.I think AAA title is a term that is thrown around too loosely these days. IMO, there are very, very few AAA titles ever released. Even the XBox only has one AAA title IMO, which is Halo. The others are all GREAT titles, but by no means absolute essentials, whci hwould make you buy a system the way a game such as MGS2 or Soul Calibur would. Ditto for the Gamecubes entire lineup thusfar - some great games, sure - but nothing that'll make me buy a system just yet. I'm waiting for Mario, Zelda, and Starfox before I invest my money in a Cube. ------------------

Well if there are at least 5 AAA titles on Gamcube, that would mean that there are a couple of third party AAA games there. And there are a number of third party Cube games that are also available on Xbox.So from that you would conclude that there are more than 2 AAA Xbox titles almost by default. I see this guy is as good at debating as Dexxta is also.

In my opinion there is no AAA gamecube titles ATM, okay Super Smash Bros. Melee comes close but other than that... nada!Xbox has one AAA title and that is Halo. If we are talking about AAA titles that's all their is. IMO the Dreamcast has the highest abundance of AAA titles available!

All this talk of AAA+ titles is getting pretty silly really.I think you're missing out if you won't buy a system just because it doesn't have a game that scored unaminous 9.5+ scores or whatever from every media source. Sure there's a few rare titles that are in a league of their own (Mario 64, Zelda, MGS, Gran Turismo, Halo) but the difference between say, a 9.1 - 9.4 game and a 9.5 game really ain't much.
