o.k Im 16 and just finished high school, I still am doing my HSC but I have thought a lot about uni and have decided to do a marketing degree at either Charles Sturt University or Macquarie University, the only problem is that I may be too young to go to uni but lets see what happens. Is there anyone else who is making choices on uni at the moment. It seems all so scary for thefact that if you choose the wrong course and do a degree which is worthless to you later on you lose thousands of dollars and 3 years of your life.

Doing the HSC at 16? Shit, I thought I was young to be doing the HSC this year... (17)I was gonna say it is a little late to be submitting your preferences. I'll most probably be going to Charles Sturt or Uni of Wollongong, depending on my UAI. Oh and I'll be doing Computer Science at whichever uni I go to. I think I might do a Law degree after, too. yeah im 16, its pretty annoying for everyone around me is 18 and 19 but I get along with them great. Im think i'm more serious about Charles Sturt, its a good uni plus I can do a jointed degree with advertising and marketing in 3 years. Its gonna be weird to be living with a bunch of 19 yr olds at uni for I will be staying in a dorm room. but atleast I will have my uni degree at 19 yrs old.p.s- i still can put in my preferences its just going to cost me like 60 bucks instead of 11 dollars. Meanwhile, Spoonfan will be doing... what, exactly? Where's he at anyway?

Yeah I know Christopher.. I'll probably live in a dorm too, but I havent applied yet. I'll be only 18. Wait, in that American Questions thing, you said you were in Year 10.. Poppa: Spoonfan's repeating year 12. Mind you, two weeks in and he's already had 3 days off, I hear. I haven't really talked to him in ages, so I have no idea where he is. I think his parents may have banned him from the 'net.* Let's hope so, for his sake. ------------------ [This message has been edited by Ants in the pants (edited 28-10-2001).]

I know, we'll see how I go... I don't particularly want to do both but I don't think I'll be able to transfer mid-course, considering it's law.But in the US they have Yr 11 and 12, right? [This message has been edited by Ants in the pants (edited 28-10-2001).]

Maybe you'd better start by choosing a kindergarten first.

Yeah, you must be pretty bright to be doing the HSC's at 16, why aren't you doing Med or Law? Marketing is a piece of piss to get into, I know because I'm doing it (and Advertising, Double Major) at Auckland Uni.That said, it is a LOT of fun. All the people doing Marketing/Business in general are cool, you drink hard, and the chicks are really hot. ------------------ "Look, it's a giant talking egg!" - Sonic, in Sonic Adventure. Im doing marketing for I enjoy it but in all honesty im more into Advertsing. I have high hopes for my future and dream about the type of person im going to be when im 23, I really think that by dreaming I have been able to succed in year 12 for it has helped me think of my many options. I also think independance and doing things yourself help at a young age, for e.g I cook my own food, clean my own room, pay for my own cloths, games, text books etc.

I dont eat vegimite, and when I say I cook my own food that means cuisines, you know sweet and sour pork, chicken piared, mango chichen, lamb with pepper gravy, sushi and heaps more My dad taught me how to cook since I was 11 and I make the best seafood pizzas. And dont think my parents are bludgers who cant be bothered to feed there son, there hard workers, I just think to myself that someday im going to have to prepare my own meals, so why not start now.

I think I can speak on behalf of the group when I say I hope you are a much better person than you are today. At 16 you tend to think you own the world and things will go according to plan. I would love to have a conversation with you when you are 23 and see how differently things turned out. But fortunately you will get sick of this forum and disappear never to be seen again. :fingerscrossed:

I am not bragging but I just find what you say very funny for it is so wrong
