Looks pretty cool to
me. Flickers like a mother****er though. RRV has been dethroned. 60hz
though. Thumbs up for that alone.

There should be a
warning label for jaggies like this.We can't win in this
generation. DC = dead.
PS2 = jaggies.
Xbox/GC = 30fps.

Sorry all, I have to
take back what I said about Burnout. When I played it earlier on in
the year it looked awesome but when I got it home lastnight it looked
like shite. You can't see the fun game through the shimmer.It has
a 60hz option but I had to run at 50hz because my TV won't take it. I
can't believe how much worse it looked on my tv.
Very
dissappointed. The 2 player races had no slowdown at all when I
played before but I could notice it lastnight...maybe because I was
running at 50hz... I just don't get it, Burnout left a big impression
on me the first time I played it... must be my crap tv, but still...
theres no excuse for the shimmerthon... especially after playing the
WRC demo (zero shimmer).

Is Burnout also on
the PS1!?! I saw an ad for Burnout on TV over the weekend in which
they show some game footage and it is ugly as fu*king hell, it looks
absolutely woeful so I'm just wondering, seriously, was that PS2 game
footage or is the game also out on other platforms?

I picked up a copy on
Sunday (along with the Powerpuff Girls DVD). I'm not too sure what i
think of it yet, it shimmers very, very badly, but it plays pretty
nicely.

here, but I saw the ad tonight and I see what you mean. I seriously
thought they were advertising a new PSX Need for Speed game or
something. I was disappointed, I like NFS!

Burnout is ****ing
shit. The shimmer is offensive, the controls are whacked, and the
crashes are most craptacular.Back to GTA3!

Which episodes are
they? Extras?I don't care what people say, PPG is a pretty good
television show, especially some of the newer 1/2 hour long episodes
(unlike the half hour episodes before)

Wasn't this game one
of the one's lambchop was claiming could do 10million poly's with
full effects and no slowdown and will show the power of the
ps2!!!

Yeah that Burnout ad
makes the game look absolutely pathetic, it looks all pixelated and
blocky so I honestly did think it was for the PSX, I wasn't just
stirring.

Candy.Burnout's good. It's shimmery as buggery, but it pushes
heaps of polys and it is f*cking fun to play. F1 2001 is
shit.

ad is from very early development, the actual game if anyone here has
played it looks much better than that. Need some proof? Go to the

lot of jaggies if running in pathetic 60hz mode (when will people
learn that 60hz is NOT better), but there are tons of cars on screen
and the locals are not bad either. This game NEVER slows down and
runs at 50fps in PAL while shifting a huge number of polys. Any
real gamer who sits down a does not pre judge a game before he plays
it will come to see that burnout is worthy arcade racer and the best
on PS2.
