Okay, MSyama made his point
a few too many times, and he can't spell 'arse', but I agree
with him. When people come to our house we tell them we don't
allow smoking in the house [if it comes up]. Same thing with
MSyama/SJ and meat. I wouldn't question it, and if I had any
meat I'd leave it in the car or throw it out.*
* except that meat, but it's so humongous it
wouldn't fit through the door anyway

Austnet, Faraday.. the
random server thingo
I agree with you to a point Vzzzy...
Its like if I am driving people somewhere.. or arranging
it.. I dont say.. hey sure you can come but you cant smoke in
my car you bastard cos you like Tekken.
a slight embellishment but.. my point is.. I must be rather
casual... I'd prefer it if people wouldnt smoke in my car..
and they'd ask me when they got in and I'd say that i would
prefer to keep it smoke free..
In my old car.. it didnt worry me as the smoke never went
near me.... and that they had to ash etc out the window as I
didnt have ash trays (only money holders ) We dont care about
them not liking meat.. but when they say it 3 bloody times as
if we didnt get the message the 1st time.. thats where it gets
weird... I dont like smoking and it makes my eyes sting
etc.. but Im not about to go mental about it...

Am I missing out on
something? Is it considered rude all these days to turn up at
somebodys house without bringing a meat product gift of some
kind? I mean, who the hell turns up to a games night with a
console, two controllers, some games, and half a kilo of
chopped liver?

Thank you.
And thanks Dylan/JSR aswell.
I think Syam's gone about it wrong in many ways, but this
whole thread is an atrocious way of stirring him and abusing
him without giving him much of a chance to get his point
across, do you realise how bloody easy it is for me to take
selected hilights of conversations I've had on IRC and try to
make someone look like a bloody fool? I'll just start
recording every log and posting on Playnow....
I made 1 simple request, and Syama took offence to comments
made by Gamma (Which were not explained at the time, later on
they looked more decent but the original comments sounded
quite sick from my point of view, tricking a vegetarian into
eating meat and making a joke out of it, anybody who expects
to say that to a couple of vegetarians and not offend them has
something loose in there head).
Sure it got way out of hand and Syam went overboard, but
the points still stand, and its easy to see in those IRC
snippets that you side stepped the points in favour of making
a mockery of the way he got those points across.
I thought GCF's behaviour was extrmely childish on the
first night, and posting it here even more childish, this has
nothing to do with Playnow really and it was just a way of
trying to publicly humiliate Syama who had seriously done
little wrong except go overboard in the way he talks, and
possibly stirr the tekken fans too much. That sickens me
really.
The only problem I had/have with Gamma was that he didnt
explain the trick he played on his friend, after he explained
it I thought it was more than reasonable - But the way he
showed it at first sounded absolutely horrible. Syama was
offended greatly by the story, and with good reason if you ask
me, try to put yourself in his position, he just wanted a
simple 'sorry I told the story out of context' or 'sorry if
that offended you', obviously you dont HAVE to say that, but
its hardly a difficult curtesy is it?
I havnt seen the whole log of last night, so I cant comment
on it, but saying things like "You're (non leather) shoes" is
a good way to stirr someone dont you think? Not that he even
brought up leather, I think that was unfnk, neither of us at
any point tried to force our beleifs onto anyone else or talk
about them as if we are higher beings or anything that
deserves mockery, we just wanted our kitchen to remain meat
free.
I wanted 1 simple rule for the gamesnight / weekend (And
lets face it, it was more than just a games night, I had
invited a small horde of people to stay at my house, sleep
there, go out to our favourite restaraunte with us and use
anything in our house including the kitchen, it was more like
a weekend visit than just a night of gaming, and originally it
was Cary coming down to visit us and play a few games maybe)
and I accidentally mentioned it twice to GCF, GCF went nutso
at me about how it was a wierd rule and I Was drilling it into
his head, now if thats not atleast as bad as anything my
brother did I dont know what is.
If my brother had an account at playnow and had some
credability here, I think all these conversations would be
different, hes a good guy in reality and he doesnt take
offence easily unless he find it to be something serious, he
took offence here and you mocked him for it, you publicly
humiliated him, this is a very horrible thing to do to any
person, and I think you need to think about that before you
continue to mock him here, at gamenation, and on IRC.
I'm not going to bother with snippets of the logs which
make GCF look like a complete arshole and psycho, because I
dont want to make people the subject of public ridicule, or
mock them, I find that idea just plain stupid, even after all
the crap GCF has said about my brother and the crap he said to
me.
Edit - I'd just like to point out that I have other friends
coming who would have brought and prepared meals with
meat in them, as I told everyone to deal with there own food
and they can use our kitchen if they want, I was just
informing people of our 1 house rule.
Its clearly more than a gamesday anyway, since everyone is
invited to stay over and do non game related activities the
next day, going out showing them some of our favourite places
on the gold coast (Montezumas in surfers ) sorry if I didnt make
that clear enough.

the night isnt until the
20th.. Three times on IRC to me.. alone.. i think everyone
else who has talked to them about it got the same treatment..
They said no meat.. I said fine.. I mean like i would be
bringing a meat tray anyway I told em what we
generally eat at these types of things.. and he was yeah
okay.. but no meat..
actually he reminded me of Daisy from Girl Interrupted..
the one with the Chicken.. and who wanted the Valium.

I dont remember it being
three times, but if it was I apologise, as I did on IRC, I
remember clearly the one in the private IRC window, I dont
recall one on MSN but there might have been, and there
probably was one in the main IRC window now that I think about
it.
Way to address the reasoning behind my point.. that IS the
main thing.. your brother's method of presenting his opinion
is rather poor - if you dont agree with him.. you are an
idiot.. I wont bother going back to the log file for that..

Considering you came down on him like a tonne of bricks as
soon as he said it.. you didnt give him a chance to explain
the full situation.. instead you all out attacked him saying
that he disgusts you.. and then you now say that it looked
more decent.. perhaps asking WHY he did it.. and then maybe
determining whether of not it is decent.. that might avoid a
future conflict..

It was way out of hand even before we got talking about
meat Sonic. Your brother is unreasonable and has a superiority
complex... if you dont like VF more than Tekken.. you suck..
what utter garbage.. I used snippets on request.. I had the
log file there to be read.. which gives the full story..

This coming from the person who changed his
name to You Suck? This has nothing to do with playnow.. ok
lets forget it was in #playnow on IRC.. and well.. lets also
forget how mental you and your brother became.. Unfnk, Gamma
and I thought it Pool Room Material.. hence it getting posted
here.. Your brother humiliated himself Sonic.

You didnt give him much of a chance to

apologise since you didnt give him the courtesy to explain his
actions? You both started on the YOU SICKEN ME trip before
anything could be explained... The story was vague from the
start.. a request for clarification from you or your brother
would have fixed things up.. did you bother? no..
Besides.. after the way you both carried on about Tekken
and VF..

3 times you mentioned it.. I acknowledged your request..
you having to say it AGAIN and AGAIN made it sound weird...
your request is weird only in the context that you made it
into a bigger deal than it really is.. not to mention.. who
the hell brings meat to a frigging gamesnight anyway? I mean
if you said.. dont bring Coke or Chips.. at least those things
are worth mentioning.. I was over the whole mentioning it
3 times thing.. and then you both jumped on Gamma..
I guess all houses have rules.. eg.. My Babcia (polish for
Grandmother) When in her house.. You must speak English if
there is an english only speaking relly there... The chances
of there being all Polish speaking people there.. NIL.. so the
rule doesnt apply.. the Chances of a bunch of teenage-mid 20's
guys rocking up with meat trays to cook up a feast.. I'd say
-2.. just to be safe. So dont be trying the whole "ITS AN
ATTACK BECAUSE WE HAVE ETHNIC TIES etc" I come from a
strong Polish family.. so your whinging is wasted.

If anything.. I have a bigger problem with the way your
brother enforced his opinion about fighting games rather than
your anti-meat policy.. Saying that Tekken is only played by a
bunch of morons can be taken as offensive.. and then him
crapping on about how he reckons that it is a fact? Anyone
with that outlook deserves a good mocking.. and thats why he
got one.. Unfnk and Gamma arent the type to mock someone
unless they are given a good reason.. and after the way he
acted.. I guess you are lucky that we havent been so
"childish". Believe me.. Some of the stuff you and your
brother ranted about.. The Migushi S3Xx0r Doll would pale in
comparison.

Bah.. You both acted like a duo of idiots.. so we treated
you like a duo of idiots.. You are soo busy protecting
your own beliefs that you forget that you might be infringing
on others.

Changing my name to
you-suck was actualy a joke, because everything was getting
out of hand so I tried to relax the situation.
This isnt worth it to me, I made my points and people
can choose to agree or disagree, arguing back and forth wont
change anything anymore, so I wont bother writing a huge reply
or replying at all.
